Hi, I’m Ellen Kaleikini — founder of Macro Minded Life, personal trainer, nutrition coach, and habit builder.
I’m also a wife and mom of three active kids (15, 13, and 11 — all athletes themselves ⚾🥎🏐).
I believe living well shouldn’t feel complicated, restrictive, or overwhelming.
My health and fitness journey started more than 20 years ago while training for bodybuilding competitions.
That passion grew into a lifelong commitment — I became a certified personal trainer, ran marathons, taught indoor cycling, and even co-owned a CrossFit gym with my husband for six years.
As life evolved, so did my perspective.
Between raising three busy kids and balancing all of life’s demands, I realized the intense, all-or-nothing approach wasn’t sustainable.
For years, I chased diets, cut out food groups, and believed I needed endless high-intensity workouts or early-morning fasted cardio just to maintain my fitness.
Eventually, I discovered the freedom that comes from truly understanding how nutrition and macros work.
I learned how to fuel my body with whole foods, build sustainable habits, and live in balance — without guilt or deprivation.
Now, at 45, I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been — mind, body, and soul.
As a former middle school math and science teacher turned NASM-certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, I’m passionate about helping women build healthy habits that last — not through restriction, but through empowerment, education, and confidence.
