At Macro Minded Life, we are about much more than merely counting calories and “macros.” Although learning about health and how macros (protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates) play a major part in reaching and maintaining your goals is important, we focus on the “Macro” or big picture approach to life: using healthy habits and whole food nutrition to optimize your progress. Focusing on all areas of healthy lifestyle will help fill gaps that maybe you have been filling with unhealthy habits such as mindless eating, comfort foods, emotional eating, etc.
Creating your unique health blueprint starts with building a foundation by writing specific goals that will give you the vision and focus you need to reach and maintain your healthy lifestyle. Together, we will create healthy habits to help you reach them. As roadblocks and obstacles come along, we are here to help you create solutions and overcome them.

The Level Up Your Health with MML program is designed to implement small changes over time. We cover all the topics to get you moving towards your goal and also empower you to live that healthy lifestyle that will help you maintain your progress. You will learn about the 5 Keys to Success, Nutrition 101, Mindful Eating, Motivation and Mindset, Emotional Eating, and a whole lot more. Each week we will address a different topic via short videos that you will access at your convenience. You will also have access to weekly dinner menus that include grocery lists, a workout program you can do at home that is designed for those just getting started, and mindset support. If you are someone who has healthy habits in place, but needs to jump start your progress towards your goals with a specific whole food meal plan, this program is for you. Each meal plan is registered dietician approved. You will be intentional with nutrition and habits over the course of the program and be motivated by your results, and also have access to 1:1 coaching. The meal plan consists of breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack. Processed food and added sugar is eliminated, along with other foods that are known for causing inflammation. You can expect to sleep better, have increased energy, decreased bloating, and even jump start your weight loss. By the end of the program, you will have a good idea of how to build your own weekly meal plan and truly enjoy the way you feel when you are eating real food.
Are you ready to learn about macros and use your personalized numbers to make progress towards your goals? This program offers videos to watch at your convenience in order to provide education on macros and macro counting. We will meet via zoom up to 2 times the first month to get you set up and then 1 time a month after to keep you moving in the right direction. Communication via text and email is also included.

My name is Ellen Kaleikini. I started my health & fitness journey 20 years ago while training for body building competitions. I would go on to become a certified personal trainer, run marathons, teach indoor cycling classes, and eventually own a Crossfit gym with my husband for 6 years. We have 3 children who are now 13, 11, and 9 and all play ball. ⚾🥎🥎
Both my nutrition and type of exercise I enjoy has changed a lot over time. I spent a lot of years trying different "diets" and believing certain food groups were off limits. I spent some time believing I had to do early morning fasted cardio or an hour plus of high intensity workouts 5 days a week to maintain my fitness. As a mother of three, I don't have time for that. It has been liberating to finally learn how nutrition and macros can work for me and build a healthy lifestyle that allows me to maintain a healthy weight and enjoy food without feeling deprived and guilty or spending hours at the gym every day. At 43, I am the healthiest, mind, body, and soul, that I have ever been. As a former middle school math & science teacher and current NASM certified personal trainer and nutrition coach, I am excited to share my passion and knowledge of health and nutrition with you and get you on the path to wellness.
